Kurt Kiefer has worked for over twenty years with clients and artists to develop complex art projects. He brings a wealth of knowledge of art and construction practices to Meta Arte.
Before coming to Meta Arte, Kurt spent fourteen years as the Campus Art Administrator at the University of Washington. In that position he guided the development of the university’s campus art collection, served as the project and construction manager for major projects and developed campus-wide art and memorial policies.
In addition to his work with the university, Kurt implemented the public art program at Qwest Field and served as the first project manager for the Confluence Project. Kurt began his career as an apprentice stonecarver at the National Cathedral in Washington, DC and worked for a number of years as an art preparator at institutions both in Washington, DC and San Francisco.
Kurt currently serves as a member of the City of Seattle’s Public Art Advisory Committee and on the board of 911 Seattle Media Arts. He has also served as the president of the board of Reflex Magazine and Sand Point Arts and Cultural Exchange.
